Jacqui Brown
Three words describe me best:
Writer. Scientist. Cat-Lover. I recently put the final sentence on my first children’s manuscript, a ghostly detective story for middle-grade readers, and I’m writing a young adult manuscript, a creepy speculative fiction set in outback South Australia in the 1980s.
In 2017 I completed my Master’s Degree in Creative Writing with Macquarie University. I’m a Varuna House Alumni and a member of the Northern Beaches Writers’ Group. Before pursuing the life of a writer, I spent 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry communicating about medicines and healthcare to a wide range of medical professionals. I have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Physiology from UNSW. I live on Sydney’s northern beaches with my husband, Phil, and my cat, Softie. I love science fiction, cafes and cappuccinos, all furry animals, and anything to do with the ocean. |
